Born in New-Mexico and raised in Texas, Susan Graham studies at the Texas Tech University and the Manhattan School of Music which grants her the title of Doctor of music in 2008. She wins the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and is the ”singer of the year” at the 2004 Musical Awards. In 2006 the city of Midland (Texas) declares the 5th of September ”Susan Graham Day”.
In 2010-11, she sing along with Pacido Domingo in Gluck´s Iphigenia in Tauride at the Madrid Teatro real and the New York Metropolitan Opera. At the Houston Grand Opera she plys in Strauss´ Ariadne auf Naxos and sings Marguerite in La Damnation de Faust with the Philharmonia Orchestra. Her complete opera recording ranges from Haendel´s Alcina to Gluck´s Iphigenia, through Heggie´s Dead Man Walking... Expert in French music, she is honored by the French goverment by the Legion d´honneur.
