A Hungarian Folklore Performance is an event no one should miss while visiting the Hungarian capital. Our company offers Folklore Performances in two of Budapest`s most prestigious theatres with a central downtown location, they take place in the Duna Palota and the Budai Vigadó, performed by three of the best professional Hungarian Folk Ensembles. The performances are the mediators between the tradition of the nation and the guests; an opportunity to bring the Hungarian virtuose, the heritage and the love of art closer to visitors in 90 minutes.
The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble - regarded as one of the best in Hungary, was established in 1951. Its aims were to collect and play authentic folk music and to preserve the Hungarian folk dances and traditional costumes of Hungarian-inhabited areas by putting them on stage for the public.
Danube Folk Ensemble - Founded in 1957, the Danube Folk Ensemble is one of the most popular professional folk-dancing groups of Hungary. The ensemble consists of 24 dancers and 5 musicians, both excellent in their profession. They aim to perform genuine dynamic, stylish dances, and to create innovative dance-theatre pieces based on those principles.
Hungaria Folk Ensemble & Orchestra - The world famous Hungária Folk Orchestra and Ensemble`s work is based on decades old musical and dance traditions. The ensemble was founded by gipsy musicians, their gift is the inherited traditions of century old gipsy artists. The exceptional professional skills of the Hungaria are due to the special educational method that concentrates on preserving their natural attitude for improvisation an essential precondition of virtuosity.
Each performance starts at 20:00 and consists of two 40-45 minutes long parts with an intermission in between.

Il palazzo del Danubio (ungherese: Duna Palota) è una sala concerti neo-barocca situata nella Città Interna di Budapest, in Ungheria. Fu costruita tra il 1883 e il 1885 secondo i piani di Vilmos Freund. Fu noto come il casinò di Lipótváros - non nel senso del gioco d`azzardo - ma un club aristocratico per l`intrattenimento. Il palazzo serviva come luogo di cultura, sostenendo molti giovani artisti. Bartók, Kodály e Dvorák hanno giocato nella sua sala da concerto di prim`ordine. Dal 1951 l`edificio ha realizzato i programmi culturali del Ministero degli Affari Interni. È sede dell`Orchestra Sinfonica del Danubio.
