The discreet maid Hortense delivers the letters – but cleverly sends a third identical invitation to Angèle’s sister Henriette. And if that were not enough, there is still the question of where Uncle Theophil has disappeared to. What follows is a lively operetta full of mistaken identities, flirtation, and unexpected twists.
