Francisca Gavilán Zurita / Francisco Navarro Lara »Love & Dreams«
15.02.2026 | 19:30 | Wiener Konzerthaus - Schubert Saal
Performers:
Francisca Gavilán Zurita, flute
Francisco Navarro Lara, piano
After many years of sharing lives, stages and dreams, the couple Francisco Navarro Lara – an international conductor with several triumphant concerts in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, where he received seventeen minutes of applause and eight standing ovations – and Francisca Gavilán Zurita, an international flutist who has also performed as a soloist in this famous hall, return to the heart of Vienna to present an intimate and deeply emotional recital: »Love & Dreams«.
More than a concert, this is a celebration of love, shared dreams and family reunion. After years dedicated to raising their children, Francisca and Francisco are back on stage together –, united by music, the invisible force that unites people who love and dream together.
The carefully selected programme leads through the landscapes of the human soul: the cinematic emotion of James Horner (Titanic) and John Barry (Out of Africa), the spirituality of Franz Schubert (Ave Maria), the impressionistic purity of Claude Debussy (Syrinx), the contemporary tenderness of Yiruma (River Flows in You), the poetic freshness of Herman Beeftink (Spring) and the lyrical passion of Pietro Mascagni (Intermezzo from “Cavalleria Rusticana“).
An evening in which love, family, dreams and emotions come together in a single voice, a single heartbeat. »Love & Dreams« is more than just a title – it is a declaration of life, a return to the essentials and an invitation to feel with an open heart.

Place
The Konzerthaus in Vienna (German: Wiener Konzerthaus) was opened 1913. It is situated in the third district just at the edge of the first district in Vienna. Since it was founded it has always tried to emphasise both tradition and innovative musical styles.
In 1890, the first ideas for a Haus für Musikfeste (House for music festivals) came about. The idea of the new multi-purpose building was to be more interesting to the broader public than the traditional Vienna Musikverein. In addition to the concert hall, the first drawings by Ludwig Baumann for the Olympion included an ice-skating area and a bicycle club. In an attached open air area, 40,000 visitors would be able to attend events. The drawings were not accepted. However, today an ice skating area is situated right next to the building.
The Konzerthaus was finally built between 1911 and 1913. The architects were Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer; the work was done in cooperation with Ludwig Baumann.
