A cappella power with Kat Frankieʼs B O D I E S
Under the direction of Berlin-based artist and producer Kat Frankie, the eight-member a cappella ensemble B O D I E S surprises, inspires and touches. Kat Frankieʼs music is known for its wide emotional range, from tender to stormily powerful.
Eight women, one vocal project
With the eight women of B O D I E S, Kat Frankie now has the opportunity to interpret her music in its purest form. For the Australian singer-songwriter, the lack of instruments is not a limitation, but rather a freedom: »There is so much to discover with harmony, voice and performance and so many directions this show can take. After being more interested in composition in recent years, Iʼm now returning to songs, telling stories and dealing with lyrics«, says the artist. »And the show is getting bigger and bigger: the staging, the choreography, all our stomping and our movements are evolving. But ultimately, we are eight women on stage telling a story about community and collective endeavour. I think thatʼs the real heart of the show.«
International successes – Debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus
B O D I E Sʼ performances have developed steadily over the past few years. After a series of sold-out concerts in the UK, France and Germany –, including at the Berlin Philharmonie and the Elbphilharmonie –, Kat Frankieʼs B O D I E S can now be experienced for the first time at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
