PETER BENCE

Peter Bence is a world-renowned pianist, composer and music producer who holds the Guinness World Record as the »fastest pianist«. He has taken the internet by storm with his piano arrangements, amassing over 1.2 billion video views and a huge following on YouTube and Facebook in the last five years. He is often referred to as a musician who is not only revolutionising the way the piano is played, but also influencing new generations of pianists and musicians.

Bence has achieved sensational success with his edgy, percussive and expressive playing style that blurs the boundaries between classical and popular music. He takes the piano to a whole new level and transforms the instrument into a fully-fledged orchestra, inspiring both younger and older generations of musicians and music lovers from all over the world.

After training in classical piano and composition, he continued his studies as a scholarship student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, majoring in film scoring and piano, where he absorbed a wide range of musical genres, many of which have contributed to his current style. In January 2012, he achieved the Guinness World Record for the »most piano keystrokes in one minute« with 765.

Peter began uploading videos to YouTube during his time at Berklee College of Music. In 2015, he quickly rose to fame with his arrangement of Michael Jackson\\\'s »Bad«, amassing an incredible 10 million views in a matter of days and becoming a huge viral sensation. He now has a total of over 950 million video views on YouTube and Facebook. In the last four years, he has given sold-out concerts in over 40 countries, including the Sydney Opera House, the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul, the Stadthalle in Vienna and the Victoria Hall in Geneva. He opened the BBC Proms In The Park 2017 in Hyde Park in London in front of 50,000 people. In 2020, his album »The Awesome Piano« –, released under the Steinway & Sons label –, immediately entered the iTunes charts at number 1 in several countries and number 11 on the Billboard charts (worldwide).
