Baroque masterpieces performed on period instruments bring the sound of their era to life and offer a direct gateway to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The vocal highlight and finale of the series features the vocal styles of France, Italy, the German-speaking world, and England side by side. Regional characteristics become audible when musical expression is closely interwoven with the rhythm, timbre, and intonation of the respective language.

Established as Austria’s smallest opera and concert hall, performances at the KRYPTA captivate audiences with their intensity, high quality, and unique venue. Located deep beneath Vienna’s St. Peter’s Church, the intimate hall offers a personal experience that attracts guests from all over the world.

The KRYPTA maintains a comfortable temperature year-round.
