The concert concludes with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, a passionate masterpiece of late-Romantic orchestral literature.

Founded in 1972, the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra is one of the most important youth music organizations in the United States. What began as a single ensemble of 35 musicians has grown into an outstanding musical institution with more than 500 young musicians aged 6 to 18 performing in a wide range of high-level ensembles. The orchestra stands for musical excellence, youthful energy, and international artistic quality.
