The Gods Husband is a rarely performed gem of the operetta repertoire. With great humor and musical wit, Lehár and his librettists explore Greek mythology. The premiere in 1904 was met with enthusiastic acclaim.

Theater director Maeander is searching for a spectacular story for a new play – and promptly turns to Jupiter himself. Jupiter is immediately captivated and, together with Mercury, decides to experience the story firsthand. They secretly mingle with mortals – but everything turns out differently than planned when Jupiter is seduced by none other than his own wife, Juno.

The Lehár Festival Bad Ischl presents this charming work for the first time in a semi-staged production in Bad Ischl. Look forward to an entertaining comedy of errors full of humor, accompanied by Lehár\\\\\\\'s touching and imaginative music.
